Principle Responsibilities

The Head of Digital is responsible for trading the core business in the UK and as such is a key hire for the Group. The scope of the role covers commercial trading and digital marketing – it’s highly visible, highly accountable, and highly influential. Responsibilities will include;

  • Definition and execution of the trading strategy
  • Development of trading initiatives
  • Driving digital sales by converting site traffic
  • Set pricing across the UK trade companies
  • Developing and managing the promotional strategy
  • Monitoring key trading performance indicators to KPIs
  • Working closely with the category management, analytics and technology teams to improve the customer experience/sales journey
  • Managing and motivating a team of 5 plus agencies


Required Competences

  • Solid experience of designing, launching and operating an IT and Digital platform
  • Exceptional understanding of the IT and Digital platform components and commercials acquired as CTO in a telecom or energy organisation.
  • 3rd party supplier negotiations
  • Commercially astute
  • Tenacity and ability to deliver in an environment of rapid change.
  • Gravitas to influence at most senior level
  • Determined, resilient and controlled under pressure
